WASTE LANDS BOARD.
At the usual meeting of the above Board held on the 14th instant, the following business of local interest was transacted
The consideration of the request by the Mayor of Arrowtown, that the suburban a lotments on blocks XXVI, XXVIL, XXVIII, XXfX. an i XXXI, bo reduced and offered at Ll-i per acre, and blocks XXXLV and XXXV at L 7 10s per acre, was deferred.
The following certificates of application for agricultural leases were approved : S.irah Williams, section 33, Mock HI, Cromwell ; Thomas Kolicl, section 32, block ill, Cromwell; Martin Heaney, Section 2S, block V, Cromwell ; Martin Heaney, sections 4 and S, block WCr unwed ; Richard Olds, section 3d. block 111, Cromwell ; W. C. Turner, section 7, block HI, Black•tone.
Mr Bastings moved :—“ That all deferred payment land having been opened for three years and not taken up, and any cancelled licenses that have been reopened and not applied for, the necessary steps be taken to have the same proclaimed open for sale hy auction at 2t)s per acre.”— Carried.
