VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following is the Order Paper for the next general meeting of the Vincent County Council, to be held at Clyde on Wednesday next. A dJouuned Motion. Cr Eraser to move—“ That the financial state of the County Le considered, as regards the revenue for the ensuing twelve months proving sufficient to bidet the requirements of works in course of construction and already voted, also the maintenance of roads, bridges, and ferries, without having recourse to borrowing Notices of Motion. Cr M'Ginnis to move - “ That the bridge over the Earnscleugh River on the main road, which was passed lust year and ordered to stand over through the flood, be proceeded with. Cr M‘Ginnis to move—“ That thfe County be divided into four works districts, and that an inspector be appointed for each district, who shall perform ordinary labour on the roads as well as acting as inspector and ganger for such district; the remuneration for such inspectors to be £ per week, and that applications be invited through the local Press from persons desirous of undertaking the duties, such applications to be considered at the next ordinary meeting. Cr Jolly to move—“ That the road leading to the setters’ homesteads in the vicinity of the Lowborn, now rendered useless by reason of parties fencing in their freehold property, he restored, at a cost not to exceed £SO sterling.
