No. 827 is a sherrv colored, and No 82S is a port wine red colored liquid ; limy are both perfectly transparent showing the purity of the wa'er and other substances employed in their manufacture. These two bevel ages have a slight acid chemical reaction, and possess an agreeable cool bitter taste, blended with a sensation of sweetness, arising from the saeharine matter of the fruit, of which they are the fermented extract, 1 have also examined the aromatic and other flavoring substances used by Mr Feraud in their mannfaetmc, and from the proportions in which they are blended « ith the fruit wine, they must he pronounced perfectly safe, amt free from anything l.ke delete.ions properties. I consider this wine, therefore, an agreeable and perfectly safe beverage, and when diluted with three or four times their bulk of water, they will make a good cooling summer drink. JAMES G.
