DUNSTAN CRICKET CLUB.

The annual meeting of this Club was held at Mrs George’s Dunstan Hotel. Clyde, on Saturday evening last. There was a good attendance, including several country members. Mr VV. G. Bees was voted to the chair.

The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed The Treasurer’s statement was read anil adopted, the state of the funds being as follows : Receipts, L 25 11s ; disbursements, L 24 14s 2d. Assets, 16 lOd ; liabilities, L 5 us. It was mentioned that out of the disbursements over Ll4 was spent in connection with the pavilion, which would not occur again.

The election of officers was then proceeded with, with the following result ; President, W.) G. Rees, Esq ; Treasurer. Dr Leahy; Secretary, Mr Aris ; Match Committee, Messrs Rees, Leahy, and Ste vena. Mr Stevens waa elected practice captain, and Mr W. G. Reea match captain.

Resolved—That the Secretary communicate with the Chairmen of the Maniototo, Lake, and Vincent County Councils re a trophy to ho played for by the counties named.

Resolved—That the Secretary communicate with the Secretaries of the Cromwell and Alexandra Clubs, expressing its willingness to co-operate with them >n bringing together the hist representative team to play in the County match. Resolved—That the Secretary write to the Cromwell Club, asking if either the 11lh or 2o f .h October would he convenient for them to visit Clyde to play a fi iendly match.

Mr Stevens informed the meeting that he hail been having a new ground prepare 1 considerably nearer town than the present 'me. It was a better ground, and the only expanse in connection with it would he the moving of the pavilion and bringing in water, and these would be very light. It was resolved—That the question of the new g-ouud be left to the Match Committee.

The following new members were then elected Major Keddell, Messrs B. Pyke, H. Mackay, J. T. Stuart, and T. H. Bell. A vote of thanks to the chair brought the meeting to a close.
