DUNSTAN JOCKEY CLUB.

The adjourned meeting, to receive reports of the sub-committee? appointed at previous meeting, was held in the Committee Room, Clyde Athenaeum, on Saturday evening last, tho 23rd inst. Mr Samuel Wc'sford took tho chair.

The minutes of previous meeting having been read and confirmed, and correspondence read and received.

The collectors reported that they had made a canvass for subscriptions in the town towards a Spring Meeting, and had succeeded beyond their expectatioms, having collected L 37 9s 6d, which amount they had but little doubt would be considerably increased.

The meeting concluding that sufficient encouragement was given to warrant the Club in holding a meeting, decided that a Meeting be held during the present Spring, on the Dunstan Racecourse.

Resolved—“ That Messrs Leahy, Joss, Dewar, Naylor, Waddell, Macgeorge, R. Stewart, J. S, Dickie, Attfield, Cox, Aris, and Conk, be appointed the Committee of Management of the Club.” The following gentlemen as stewards and officers were appointed for the proposed meeting : —Major Jackson Keddell, Judge ; S. Welsford, Starter ; C. Attfield, Clerk of Course; and Messrs Joss, Leahy, Maogeorge, R. Stewart, Welsford, Attfield, Waddell, W. G. Rees, and Aris, Stewards, Resolved—“ That the meeting be held on Thursday, October 2.3rd, the amount of stakes not to exceed L 65.”

Resolved—“ That Messrs .Toss, Waddell, and Attlield be appointed a Sub-Committee to draw up programme, same to he advertised in the next coming issue of the Dunstan Times.

Resolved— “ That the handicapping be left to the Stewards or whom they may appoint.” The meeting then broke up.
