VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
A special meeting of the above Council was held iu the Council Chambers, Clyde, on Wednesday last the 2nd instant. Present Vincent Pyke, Esq., Chairman, and Councillors Naylor, Jolly, Colclough,, and M’Oinnis. Tenders for Contracts—formation and making second section of road, Rocky Point to Quartz Reef Point, were opened, and the following accepted Contract No. 56.—Patrick Cahill. Contract No. 56a— Kornighan, Brothers. Letter from Mr J. Stewart, Lake Wanaka, offering the sum of bid I Os, as full payment of rates for the year ending IS7S-9, was road. Resolved : —That the offer be not accepted. Resolved :—That the bonds of Mr J, Druramy for Contract No. 52 bo accepted, and his deposit returned. The Council then dissolved.
