WE hereby apply for a GoldMining Lease of the lauds hereinafter described, in accordance with the Gold-Mining Leases Regulations of New Zealand, and we agree, upon the approval of this application, to execute a Lease upon the basis therein stated, if the Governor shall think lit to grant the same. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business :—“ Mountain Race Gold-Mining Company, Limited.” Extent of Land applied for :—Eight acres. Minimum No. of Men to be employed by the Lessees ;—For the first six months, two men. Subsequently when in full work, four men. Amount of Capital proposed to be investedilOOO. Proposed mode of working the land ; —Ground sluicing. Precise locality Tinker’s Hill on south side of the Undaunted Company’s Lease, and adjoining it. Term for which Lease required Fifteen years. Time of commencing operations : Forthwith. General remarks :—All existing rights over parts of ground to be surrendered on execution of the Lease. The above application and any objection thereto will be heard at the Warden’s Office at Blacks, on Tuesday the Ist July. 1879.
