Dam. “ Southland Maid” out of a Cow imported by Robert Hamilton, Esq., Lon"bush, Southland. Sire, “ Baron 2nd, of Drumlaurig” bred by the Duke op Buccleuoii, and imported by Messrs Cargill and Anderson in 1875. Retook first prize at Glasgow; first prize at Sanquahar, and first prize at Paisley as a yearling Bull in 1874. Grandsire, “ Baron of Drumlaurig” took first prize at Ayr ; first prize at Sanquahar, and first prizes at Thornhill as a yearling, two-year-old, and aeed Bull. Grand Dam, “ Tibbie ” bred be the Duke op Buccleugii, took first prize at Galston as a year old heifer ; first prize at Sanquahar as a two-year-old, and gained several first prizes as Cow in calf.
