Young Reformer, by Emperor, wasbrec by the late Mr Donald Grant, Kirklands dam Gentle, by Champion; Champion bred by Mr Anderson, Drumore, Wigton shire, Scotland. Champion, when a year ling, gained two first prizes ; as a two-yeai old, four first and two second prizes ; whet a three year old a premium of 40 sovereign! at Glasgow ; when four years old, a pre mium of 50 sovereigns given by the Kircud bright Agricultural Society ; and when fivi years old got L4O premium at Glasgow! hi also got a silver medal for tbetive best year lings got by any horse in 1859. Also anum her of first prizes in Australia, and firsl prize at the Taieri, the only year he was shown. Gentle, dam Betty, was bred by Captair Gardner, Dandenong, Victoria; sire, the imported Clydesdale horse Reformer, dam, Bess, imported by Captain Gardner. Bettj gained first prize as a one-year old in Mel bourne, in 1854 ; second, as a two-year ole in 1855 ; and first, as a three-year old it 1856—a1l in Melbourne. Reformer is a brown horse, 16,1 handi high, rising four year old. Terms - ■ - L 3 10s. Groom’s fee 55., payable at first service. Leask. and known as the best pad dock at Blacks) is provided for Mares. Architect is a rich bay, with black points, stands 16J hands, with great bone and substance, a splendid temper and grant constitution. He has proved a sure foal getter, and his stock show great substance and quality. Mechanic, a 4-year-old son oi Architect, was sold last summer for Ll2O. Pedigree. Pacific was imported from England direct to Auckland by Messrs Austin, Chadwick and Co., where he became the Sire of the well-known winners- Moonbeam, Mossrose, Dundee, Maori Chief, Orleans and Young Pacific, Young Pacific has taken First prize at tho Christchurch Agricultural and Pastoral Association as a Roadster, and at the Lincoln Association held the same year, and at the Ellesmere Association. He will stand at Mr M‘M‘Donald’s farm near Blacks, and travel the surrounding Districts. A 100 aero paddock, securely fenced, and a man in charge. All care taken of mares, but no responsibility.
