HOSPITAL WATER RACE.
(TO THE EDITOR OP THE DUNSTAN TIMES.) Sir,—At the last meeting of the Hospital Committee there were two offers to purchase this race. If the Committee want to sell, why not call tor tenders for, or sell it by auction, and so givethh public a chance ? I know several who would go in for it if it was sold publicly. The Committee appear to me to have a queer way of doing business. When the race was last cleaned out they gave it to Williams, who spoilt it with his plough, and the work was passed by two men who knew as much about a race as a race knew about them. If it bad, been let by tenoer I am sure it would have been much better done for the same money.— I am, etc. A Miner, Molyneus River.
