Young Reformer, by Emperor, was bred by the late Mr Donald Grant, Kirklands; dam Gentle, by Champion ; Champion, bred by Mr Anderson, Drumore, Wigtonsbire, Scotland. Champion, when a yearling, gained two lirst prizes ;as a two-year old, four first and two second prizes ; when a three year old a premium of 40 sovereigns at Glasgow ; when four years old, a premium of 50 sovereigns given by the Kircudbright Agricultural Society ; and when live years old got L4O premium at Glasgow ! he also got a silver medal for thetive best yearlings got by any horse in I SAG. Also a number of lirst prizes in Australia, and tirst prize at the Taicri, the only year ha was shown. Gentle, dam Betty, was bred by Captain Gardner, Dandenong, Victoria; sire, the imported Clydesdale horse Reformer, dam, Boss, imported by Captain Gardner. Betty gained lirst prize as a one-year old in Melbourne, in 1554 ; second, as a two-year old in 1855 ; and lirst, as a three-year old in 1850—all in Melbourne. Reformer is a brown horse, IGJ hands high, rising four year old. Terms - - - 1.,‘! 10s. Groom’s fee os., payable at tirst service. A paddock at Blaekstono Rill will bo provided for mares coming from a distance. Every attention paid to mares but no responsibility. Architect is a rich bay, with black points, stands IGJ hands, with groat bone and substance, a splendid temper and grand constitution. He has proved a sure foalgetter, and his stock show great substance and quality. Mechanic, a 4-year-old son of Architect, was sold last summer for LRIO. Pedigree. Young Pacific has taken First prize at the Christchurch Agricultural and Pastoral Association as a Roadster, and at the Lincoln Association held the same year, and at the Ellesmere Association. Ho will stand at Mr M‘M‘Donald’s farm near Blacks, and travel the surrounding Districts. A 100 acre paddock, securely fenced, and a man in charge. All care taken of mares, but no responsibility.
