INQUEST.
An inquest was held at Roxburgh on Wednesday last, before W. L, Simpson, Esq.. RM., Coroner, on the body of a miner named Harry (Dalgren) Lawson, who was killed by a tall of earth whilst working in his claim at the Poinahawk. By the evidence of the deceased’s wife it appears that he was working by himself in a sluicing claim, and that on the day of the ■ accident, ho not coming home to dinner she went to a neighboring hut to make enquiries for him, and bring informed that deceased had not been seen, she, whilst passing her husband's claim, looked down into it from off the bank and saw deceased partially covered with a mass of earth and boulders that had apparently fallen on deceased and buried him its he was working.
