Youno Reformer, by Emperor, -was bred by the late Mr Donald Grant, Kirklands ; dam Gentle, by Champion ; Champion, bred by Mr Anderson, Urumnre, Wigtoushire, Scotland. Champion, when a yearling, gained two first prizes ; as a two-year old, four first and two second prizes ; when a three year old a premium of 40 sovereigns at Glasgow ; when four years old, a premium of 50 sovereigns given by the Kircudbright Agricultural Society ; and when five years old got L4O premium at Glasgow 1 he also got a silver medal for thetive best yearlings got by any, horse in 1859, Also a number of first prizes in Australia, and first prize at the Taieri, the only year he was showm. Gentle, dam Betty, was bred by Captain Gardner, Dandeuong, Victoria; sire, the imported Clydesdale horse Reformer, dam, Bess, imported by Captain Gardner. Betty gained first prize as a one-year old in Melbourne, in 1854 ; second, as a two-year old in 1855 ; and first, as a three-year old in 1856—ali in Melbourne. Reformer is a brown horse, 16J Lands high, rising four y ear old. Groom’s fee 55., payable at first service. A paddock at Bhmkstone Hill will be provided for marts coming from a distance. THETHOROUGHBRED ENTIRE HORSE, ARCHITECT ILL travel this Season in the Cromwell and Dunstan Districts, and stand every alternate week at Blacks, at Mr Loask’s Farm, where a securely fenced and well-watered Paddock of 150 acres of English grass, (the property of Mr W. Leask, and known as the best paddock at Blacks) is provided for Mares. Architect is a rich bay, with black points, stands 164 hands, with great bone and substance, a splendid temper and grand ■constitution. He lias proved a sure foalgetter, and bis stock show great substance and quality. Mechanic, a 4-year-old son of Architect, was sold last summer for LI 20.
