Ben Lomond is a beautiful dark bay, with black points' was foaled 25th February, ISfil); stands LGJ hands high ; Sire, Sir Benjamin. Sir Benjamin by the imported horse, Ben Lomond ; Sir Benjamin's dam was imported from Scotland by Richard Brodie, Esq. ; Young Ben Lomond’s darn, Blossom, was by Messrs M’dntosh’s imported horse Prince Charlie ; Blossom’s dam by R. Brodie's imported mare Nell. This shows that Young Ben Lomond is bred from imported stock—both sire and danTs side. His stock have taken Ist prizes at the Blneskin Annual Show in 1873, 1874, and 1875, against all comers. A one-year-old Filly by him took first prize at Palmerston, in 1376.
