I THE undersigned, hereby give •) notice that, after the lapse of seven days from the date hereof, i will leave with the Warden of the Mining District of Otago Gold Fields at Clyde, an application for a mineral lease, the particulars whereof are hereunder set forth : Name in full of applicant, and style ■under which it is intended that the business shall be carried on : Thomas Jackson, under the style of Thomas Jackson. Full address of applicant:—Alexandra, Otago. Extent of ground applied for:— Twenty acres. Minimum number of men to be employed when commencing operations, also subsequently, when in full work For the first month, two men ; subsequently when in full work, two men. Amount of money proposed to he invested :—£2oo ; and in what manner the land is to be worked : —By shafts and drives. Precise locality:—North bank of Manuherikia River, two miles from Alexandra. Term for which Lease is required : Thirty years. Time of commencing operations ; Forthwith. Whether the boundaries of the land applied for will include any river, creek, or permanent water spring, or artificial reservoir:—Southern boundary will take in part of Manuherikia River. I HEREBY apply for a lease of land for Agricultural purposes situate in Block 1., Leaning Rock, bounded on the North by the Main Dpnedin Road, South, by the Racecourse Reserve, West by the Wai Keri Kfiri Creek, and on the East by the late Mr "Westwood’s Paddock, and comprising, fifty acres, or thereabouts, in accordance with the Agricultural Leases Regulations made under “ The Mines Act 1877.” (Signed) A.
