Dunedin, August 28. The Petition of James Samson and other settlers of Vincent County for a Bridge across the Molynenx at Alexandra was referred by the Public Petitions’ Committee to tho Government for favorable consideration.

The Government have decided to open for settlement in small Runs and Agricultural Leases that portion of Cargill and Anderson’s rup,, from the boundary of Fraser's run to Shingle Creek. ■to Dunedin, Mignst 29th. , Austria has notified the Porte that, unless the terras signed by the Convention are carried out she will recall her Ambassador from Constantinople, and will annex Bosnia and Herzegovina by right of conquest. Servia, Greece, and Montenegro protest against Austrian occupation.
