London 7 , July 21. The match Australia v. the University of Cambridge was commenced at Lords today. The attendance was enormous, the wicket splendid, and the weather hot. The Univci sity team were the first to go to the wickets, their innings closing for 235. The Hon. A. Lyttelton was the highest scorer for them with 72.
