(to the editor of the dunstan times ) Sin,-It is not often that I, or in fact anyone, have to complain of the Bench ; hut when the Bench orders a person, whilst defending himself from remarks which he considers not complimentary, to sit down in the same tone as a shepherd would order his dog, I do not think it raises the dignity of the Bench, more especially when these remarks are published to gratify the enemies of the party whom, they assume, has been sat upon, and the matter becomes a standing joke—“ Sit down, sir Yours, etc., Reformer.
