ALEXANDRA SCHOOL.
—o— We have been kindly favored by Mr Odell, the Master of the Alexandra School with the following report for publication “ The Alexandra Public School was visited by me on the 27th and 2jc!i March, when there was an excellent attendance of the pupils. Co Co CO o to ET a' C 5 > _ _ B* o « >-* i- co S a_ C a ao co co o g p a “ Considering the circumstances of the school for the last three years tho above results aio very satisfactory. “ The work of the Classes from the lower room give evidence of careful aud well directed teaching. “ Reading was good in all tho classes, and especially so in tho lower ones. Spelling has been well taught. The writing was ffir, but small hand is begun much too late. “ The grammar answers showed a very intelligent grasp of the subject which has been very skilfully taught. “ Geography is less forward than the other subjects. “ Tho tone, attention and discipline are good. “Themarkel improvement in the instruction and in the tone of tho School reflects great credit on the Master’s zeal and capacity.
