These two beverages have a slight acid chemical reaction, aud possess an agreeable cool bitter thste, blended With a sensation of sweetness, arisihg from tlio sachhrine ‘fnatter of the fruit of which they are the fermented extract. 1 have also examined the aromatic and other flavoring Substances used by Air Feraud in their manufacture, aud from the proportions in which they are blended with the fruit wiue, they must be pronounced perfectly safe, and free from anything like deleterious properties. 1 consider this wine, therefore, an agrees. Me and perfectly safe beverage, and when diluted with three or four times their hulk of water, they will 'make a good codling suinnier drink. ' JAMES G.
