ITUKE NOTICE. —The Vai.uaJ- tion Lists for the Ridings of Earnscleugh, Manuherikia, and Matakaaui, for the Year .1878, are now open for inspection at the Police Station, Blacks. All Objections thereto must be left at the Police Station, -Blacks, on or before the I6th day ©{'February, addressed to the .Assessment ■Court; and a copy of every such Objection must bo left at the Office of the County Council, Clyde, not less than seven days before the next sitting of the said Court. WIDTH OF MAIN ARTERIAL ROADS.— Whereas by the eighty-seventh section of “The Public Works’ Act, 1875,” it is enacted that , the Road Board of a District shall have full power to increase or diminish the width of any road under its control; And Whereas by the ninetieth section of the said Act, it is further enacted that all the powers, rights, duties and liabilities thereby vested in and imposed upon a Road Board in respect of a District Road shall in the case of a County Road, be vested in and imposed upon the County Council; And Whereas by a Public Notice dated the twentyfirst day of April, 1877, the several highways mentioned in the Schedule hereto, were declared to he Main Arterial Roads of the County of Vincent, and to be of an uniform width of 66 feet measuring 33 feet from the centre of each road; IT Is Now Ordered by the Council of the said County of Vincent that the width of the said Roads shall, where the adjacent land has nbt already been alienated from the Crown, be increased, and the said roads shall bo, and they are hereby declared to be of an uniform width of two chains, or 132 feet, measuring 66 feet from the centre of each road. Schedule. 1. Lauderburn to Clyde. 2. Maniototo County Boundary (Rough Ridge) to Clyde. 3. Tuapeks County Boundary to Alexandra. 4. Butcher’s Gully to Clyde Bridge. 5. Alexandra to Clyde. 6. REWARD.—A Reward SfUv of Fifty Pounds will he paid by the County Council to anyone giving such information as will lead to the detection and conviction of the person or persons who wilfully and maliciously damaged the centre wall of the Double Culvert at Muddy Creek by removing therefrom and destroying a main bearing-stone.
