PROVERS FOR SUBSCRIBERS.
“ A wise son makcth a glad father,” and a prompt paying subscriber causeth an editor to laugh.
“ Bettor is a dry morsel and quietness therewith,” than a long list cf subscribers who cheat the printer. “ Hope deferred maketh the heart sick,” is a proverb sadly realized by the publisher who sendeth out bills.
“ A just weight and balance are the Lord's but that which is due upon your newspaper belongs to the publisher thereon “ Better is the poor man that walkoth in integrity,” and payeth his subscription, than the rich man who continually telleth thy “devil” to call again.—“Printers’ Circular.”
