The meeting is represented to us as having been highly enjoyable, the weather being purely holiday weather, though warm, was tempered with a pleasant cool breeze. All the events were keenly contested and, the character of the horses considered, were really good. 'I he okl vo’eran Clyde, the winner of no end of hack races, while, to look at, was scarcely ah'e to carry .an empty saddle, yet succeeded in carrying two prizes away. The Hospital Race, for which TdO was collected on the Course, was won by Mr Jones’ Charlotte, this being the second year this mare has won this race, her owner becomes possessed of a si’ver cup of the value of 10 guineas. Mr Jones for a good few years has competed for this trophy, and richly deserves the success that has attended his perseverance.
