DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

o s usual'monthly meeting of the Commifcu of Management was held in the Library Hall, Clyde, on Monday evening last, at 8 p.m. Present Benjamin Naylor, President, in the Chur, and Messrs Auckland, Beck, Cambridge, Hotop, J. Stevens, (Treasurer), and G. Fache, (Secretary). The minutes of the last meeting were real and confirmed. The correspondence was read and received. The Visiting Committee’s No. 1 Report, recommending that a verandah be added to the Surgeon’s residence was read and ceived..Report No. 2, recommending payment of accounts amounting to LIOB 8s 63 was read and adopted. It was explained that an account for drugs, &c , amounting to L 37 7s 6d was included in the above. The Treasurer’s report, as follows, was real and received : To B-dance from last report, L2O Ifi 41 Subscriptions, Clyde, 3 2 0 L 23 18 11 Assets. Balance in hand, L 23 IS 11 Government Sub. last quarter, 46 fi 6 ~ „ current quarter, 3 2 0 L 73 0 5 Liabilities. Past accounts unpaid, LIOB 8 6 The Surgeon’s report, as follows, was read an 1 received : No. of patients remaining in Hospital September 30, 5 No. of patients since admitted, 3 •*. sines discharged, 2 ~ died. 1 ~ remrining in Hosp'tal October 31, 5 After consideration of Visiting Committee’s No. 1 report, it was resolved :—That a verandah be added to the north end and front of the Surgeon’s residence. Resolved That tenders be invited for erection of verandah (see advertisement). Mr James Holt was elected Member of tbe Visiting Committee, vice Air H. Hotop retiring. The Secretary was instructed to write again to Mr Slattery, Tinker’s Gully, requesting payment for medical attendance and maintenance of his -child during i:s stay in the Hospital. The Visiting Committee was empowered to purchase matting for tne passage floors. A vote of thanks to the Chair cone uded the meeting, wh ch then adjourned to the
