AUSTRALIAN JUVENILE INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.

We have been requested by Mr Darvall the hon, secretary of the Melbourne cornin'ttee of the above exhibition to mention that the following “ special prizes ” have been offered by several ladies and gentlemen for the purpose <of in luciug competition amongst young people in manufacturing various articles of daily use in every household, and for other purpo-'ei;:—Mr and Mrs W. J. Clarke, of Sunbury, have offered two prizes of L 7 10s. each—one for the best col'ection of plain and fancy needle work, knitting, and netting, and the other for the best painting. Mr R. M‘Donald, of Geelong, offers a prize of LI for the best made lady’s walking diess, without a train, of any material. Mr Bannister offers two pnz s for the two bast made, washed, and irened gentleman’s shirts, entirely the woik of the exhibitors. Mr J. C. Smith offers a prize for the best marie suit of boy’s clothes of colooially manufactured cloth ; Mrs J. M. Main, ■». prize for the best pair of ladies and gentlemen's cuffs ; Mr 45. O. Preshaw, a prize for the best hemmed pockethaiidkerchief by a girl under 15 years of age, an I another prize fur the best specimen of penmanship (the Lord’s Prayer being the subject) in small hand, to be competed foi by boys under 15. Mr C. Richardson offeis a prize for the best print dress made by hand.
