WASTE LAND BOARD.
At the weekly meeting of the Waste Lands Board, held on the 17th instant, the following business was transacted : An application to purchase under the deferred payment lease was appoved—Thomas Mee. sections 36, 37 and -38, block 11., Blaokstone. The Town C’erk of Alexandra requested that block XlX.'might be reserved as a site .for a dam to supply the town with water. 11 was resolved to recommend the Government to reserve the land. The Board considered a report by the Chief Surveyor on the request of Chee Fat, and Ten Yen, to purchase sections 1 to 8, block XXIlt., Roxburgh, together with a letter from the Town Clerk of Roxburgh on th* subject of a statement made by the applicants, to the effect that they had leased , the land. It was resolved that the land should be put up for sale at L 8 per section, in accordance with 'the Surveyor’s report. The following agricultural bases were approved T. Fetherston, section 8, block XV, Cronkaton ; John Fetbeis’on. section 10, block XV, Crodkston ; 11. Mee, section 3, block 11, Rlackstone Kill ; J. I neb's, section 6, block X, Teviot; A. C. M ‘Kenzie, section 1, block IX. Teviot; J. Mackay, section 5, 'block IX, Teviot ; H. H. Heron, section 2, block X, Teviot ; P. Boyd, sec tion 4, block IX, Teviot ; J. J. Mott, section 4, block X, Teviot ; John Robertson, sec tion7, block IX, Teviot; J. Low, section 10, block IX, Teviot ; C. C. Rawlings, section 3. block X. Teviot ; A. Bbcb, section 1, block X.
