(FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Dunedin, September 29. The following is from the Star’s special : London, Sept. 27th. Mebetnet Ali has totally defeated the Czarc witch at Biela, the Russian loss being 12,000 and 2000 prisoners. There is desperate fighting before Plevna, with varying success. A total defeat of Osman Pasha is looked for unless aid is sent him. ■Wellington, October 4. The Railway resolutions (Strath Taieii line) have been carried to day with a majority of sixteen—the terminus to he at Clyde.
