WASTE LAND BOARD.
The following local business was transacted at the sitting of Win above Board, bcld on Wednesday the 13th inst. J. Woodhonse applied to lease sections 11, 12, 13, and 14, block 111, Teviot, The Warden reported on the application, saying that Mr Woodhonse had complied with the terms of his license. The application was approved, a previous decision of the Board on the same case being rescinded. The District Land Ofllcer at Clyde forwarded a request from T. M'lntosh to purchase sections 15, 17, 18, and 20, blodklll., Teviot; and a request from A. M‘Donald to purchase sections 19, 21, 22, and 24, block lit., Teviot, and recommended that they should be granted subject to certain condi-

H, Mervyn's application for a license under' the, 109 th section of the Ant, to oo- j cupy Irfml'lo to 15 acres opposite sections 10 and 17, block L, Toviot district. The Hoard declined to grant thu application. Mr D. H, Mervyn applied for permission to withdrawihis application for a license under, the 101st clause of the Act, for 81) acres of hmd opposite sections 17, L 2, and .‘I, and 50 acres opposite section 10, block L, Toviot district. Permission was given to withdraw the application. Mr. IJMH. Mervyn requested that a roadlino might he recorded between sections 1(1 and 17, block 1., Toviot district, for hotter access to his dwelling and the mining reserve. The Board declined to grant the request, after hearing the report of the district surveyor on tho matter. The District Land Officer at Clyde forwarded aecrtificatc of application by John Dundas for part of section 29, block V.', Tiger Hill district, now called section .‘!M, recommending that if the license was granted tho expense of tho Survey should he borne by the applicant. The application was refused. Tlie Crown Solicitor forwaided his opinion on C. Colclough's request that the lease granted to J. Nicholas for block XIV., might be cancelled, and a fresh lease issued to E. M ‘Nutty. —The Hoard declined to entertain Mr Colclough's request.
