DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

o The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Library Hall, on Monday evening last, the Gth inst. Present : —W. L. Simpson, Esq., Vice-president (in the Chair ; B. Naylor, Esq., President; and Messrs Holt, Beck, Auckland, J. E. Stevens, Treasurer, and George Faohe, Secretary. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Visiting Committee brought up and laid on table statement of cost of removing out-houses from one Side of the main building to the other, and recommended that the work be done at a cost not exceeding LlO. Mr Stevens said it would be well to shift the kitchen and bath-houses as well, hut suggested that the work be delayed till it w'as seen if the now Charitable Institutions Bill in its present form became law', as under it provision was made for the Government to contribute towards the alteration or re-building of any institutions incorporated under the Act. It was decided that the matter he delayed. Report No. 2, recommending payment of accounts for salaries and supplies for the month of July, amounting to L7O 10s 7.1(1, w'as read and received.
