No, of Signatures. Dryhrcad. 15. Analysis of Requisition to Vincent Pykk, Esq., M.H.R., from D. A. Jolly and others. WE certify that wc have examined a Requisition from David A. Jolly and others calling on Vincent Pyke, Esq., M.H.R. of the Dunstan District, to resign his seat in Parliament, and purporting to he signed by Electors of the said Dunstan District. We have carefully compared the naihes attached to the Requisition with the Electoral Roll, and with the List of Holders of Miners’ Rights furnished by the Receivers-df Revenue for the County Roll, and wo find that of the signatures only 232 are those of Electors of the Dunstan District, and the persons represented by the remaining |B4 signatures are as follows : 01 are neither on the Electoral Roll, or Holders of Miners’ Rights. 18 are not resident within, nor Electors of the District. 4 have -signed twice. 1 is an alien (Chinese). We also observe a large number of signatures which have the appearance of having been written by the same persons. We find that of the 754 Electors, whose names are on the Electoral Roll, only 171 have signed the Requisition, and that of 610 Holders of Miners’ Rights only C2 have signed it. IVTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN _LI that the Revising Officer will hold a Court for the Revision of the List of Voters of the District of DUNSTAN on Monday the 21st day of May, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Court-house, Clyde At which said Court will be heard and determined all claims duly made to have names inserted in the said List of Voters, and all objections -duly made to the names of persons being retained or placed on the Electoral Roll of the said District.
