PROOF having been given to the Assessment Courtfor the County of Vincent that failure has been made to prepare Valuation Lists of the rateable property in said County within ■ the time required by the Rating Act 1876, I hereby notify that under the 28th Section of said Act I have appointed Valuers to prepare such Lists. That THURSDAY, the Bth February current, has been fixed for the completion of said Lists, and TUESDAY, the 27th February current, as the day up to which the Lists will be open-for public inspection, at places convenient to the several Ridings, on or oefore which last-mentioned date all objections thereto must be lodged at the respective places of sitting of the Assessment Court hereafter mentioned, and a copy of such objections must be lodged with the Clerk of the County Council seven days before the sitting of the Court. The Assessment Court will sit at the Public Library, Kawarau Gorge, on WEDNESDAY, the 7th March next, to consider all objections made to valuations of property in the Ridings of Hawea, Kawarau, and Nevis, at which place all objections from these Ridings must be lodged ; and the said Court will sit at Resident Magistrate’s Court-house, Blacks, on THURS DA Y, Bth March next, to consider all objections made ' to val nations of property in the Ridings of Matakanui, Manuherikia, and Earnscleugh.
