LAURENCE SIMPSON, Warden and R.M. NOTICE. PROOF having been given to the Assessment Court for the County of Yincent that failure has been made to prepare Valuation Lists of the rateable property in said County within the time required by the Rating Act 1876, I hereby notify that under the 28th Section of said Act I have appointed Valuers to prepare such Lists. That THURSDAY, the Bth February current, has been fixed for the completion of said Lists, and TUESDAY, the 27th February current, as the day up to which the Lists will be open for public inspection, at places convenient to the several Ridings, on or oefore which last-mentioned date all objections thereto must be lodged at the respective places of sitting of the Assessment Court hereafter mentioned, and a copy of such objections must be lodged with the Clerk of the County Council seven days before the sitting of the Court. The Assessment Court will sit at the Public Library, Kawarau Gorge, on WEDNESDAY, the 7th March next, to consider all objections made to valuations of property in the Ridings of Hawea, Kawarau, and Nevis, at which place all objections from these Ridings must be lodged ; and the said Court will sit at Resident Magistrate’s Court-house, Blacks, on THURSDAY, Bth March next, to consider all objections made to valuations of property in the Ridings of Matakanui, Manuherikia, and Earnscleugh. IN Pursuance of the 14th Section of the “ Licensing Act 1873, Amendment Act, 1874,” I, hereby give notice that the QUARTERLY LICENSING MEETING For the District of Town of Clyde, and Districts of Clyde and Blacks, will bo held on TUESthe 6th day of MARCH 1877, in the Court House, Clyde, at the hour of NOON; [Note —Applications for the District of Blacks must be lodged at Clyde.] For the District of tie Town of Alexandra, and District of Alexandra, will bo held on TUESDAY, the 6th day of MARCH, 1877, in the Court House, Alexandra, at the hour of NOON ; For the District and Town of Roxburgh, and District of Roxburgh, will be held on TUESDAY, the 6th day of MARCH, 1877, in the Court House, Roxburgh, at the hour of NOON ; For the purpose of taking into consideration all Applications for Certificates for such Licenses as are authorised to bo granted at the said meeting of the Licensing Court, and the Transfer, or Renewal, or Removal of Licenses, of which due notice shall have been given to me, for the aforesaid Districts in which the premises in respect of which such Application is made arc situated respectively.
