ST, MICHAEL’S CHURCH, CLYDE.
The ordinary Annual Meeting of' parishioners for the election of Officers for the current year was hold in the Church on Wednesday evening last the 16th instant, the Rev. J. Dewo in the Chair. We wore sorry to see so little interest shewn by the inhabitants in this Annual Meeting, so few putting in an appearance, and though the Vestry for the last year may look upon it as a mark of confidence in them and appreciation of their services, it would have been more encouraging to them had those for whom they were giving their time and labor shown some interest in their work. Owing to the Secretary’s absence from Town, there was no Report given in, The Treasurer’s Balance Sheet was received anti adopted. The Rev. John Dewe nominated Mr Wilson as Clergyman’s Churchwarden. Mr Stevens was elected Parish Churchwarden. The number of Vestrymen for the ensuing year was fixed at five, and Messrs Naylor, Cambridge, Geo. Fache, Clark andW. Williams were elected as Vestrymen.
