Loudon Tam is a rich bay horse, rising 6 years old, short and compact, with fine flat bone, and stands 17 hands high. He was bred by Mr Robert Robson, of Green Lee, Lovell’s Flat, out of his prize mare Jessie, and gained the first prize at the Tokomairiro Agricultural 'Society’s Show in 1871 as a one-year old. Jcssie was bied in Tasmania, and imported by James Stewart, Esq., and she has gained several first and second prizes at Tokomairiro Shows, both as a brood and yeld mare. Her sire was the imported horse Sir Colm Campbell, and as a Clydesdale mare she is second to none in Otago. Loudon Tam’s sire was the celebrated horse Marquis. A paddock w ill be provided free for marcs from a distance. All care taken, but no responsibility.
