REMARKABLE PROPHECY.

The present condition of Turkey reminds the curious of the old-rhymed prophecy, said to have been made in 1453. It will be “ twice ten years,” next spring, from the conclusion of the Crimean War : “Intwice two hundred years, the Bear The Crescent shall assail; But it the Cock and Bull unite, The Bear shall not prevail. But look ! in twice ten years again, Jet Islam know and fear, The Cross shall wax—the Crescent wane Grow pale, and disappear.”
