DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Committee Room, Town Hall, Clyde, on Monday evening last, the 7th instant. Present: B. Naylor, Esq., (in the chair) and Messrs Holt, Attfield, Auckland, Cambridge, J. Stevens,'(Treasurer)andG. Fache, (Secretary). 'J he minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The Visiting Committee, through Mr Auckland, reported having had several necessary works done to the surgeon’s residence, and also having obtained a large quantity of firewood, the gift of MrN’Pherson. Visiting Committee’s No. 2 report, recommending payment of accounts for salaries and supplies for the past month, amounting to L 52 6s Bd, was read and received. Resolved, That the Visiting Committee intimate the tenderer that unless be can supply coals of a bettor quality he is to deliver no more.

Mr Cambridge was elected member of the Visiting Committee. A vote of thanks was desired to bo recorded to Mr D. M’Pherson for his present of firewood, the value of which was computed at about Ll2. and sufficient to last the institution for two years. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
