SIR,— I have paid to the District Surveyor the sum required for the survey of the following Gold Mining Lease application, required bv the Gold Mining Leases Regulations of Otago, and I agree, upon approval of this Application, to execute a Lease upon the bases therein stated, if the Governor or his Delegate shall think fit. to grant the same.—l have the honor to be, Sir, your obedient Servant, CHARLES COLCLOUGH, As Manager of the Working Miners’ Quartz Mining Company, (Limited.) Name and address in full of Applicant—Charles Colclough. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business—Working Miners Quartz Mining Company, (Limited.) Extent of Land applied for—Four hundred yards by two hundred yaids. Minimum number of men to be employed by the Lessee—(l) For the first three months four men. (2.) Subsequently, when in full work, ten men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested—£l2,ooo (twelve thousand pounds.) Proposed mode of working the land—Sinking and driving. Precise locality—Thomson’s Creek, adjoining the Carlisle and Caledonian Quartz Mining Company. Term for which lease inquired Fifteen years. Time of commencing operations— On issue of certificate. The above Application and any ob jection thereto will be heard before me, at Black’s on Tuesday, 9th May, 1876. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above Application must, within thirty-eight clear days from the date of such Application, enter his objection at my office. W. I HEREBY give notice that I have applied to the Warden for a lease of land for Agricultural purposes, situate and being-ection 50. Block I, Cairn Hill District, and that the said application will be heard at the Warden’s Office, Alexandra, on Monday, May Bth 1876. Objections to the granting of the said Lease must be lodged "with the Warden 24 hours before the day of hearing.
