LAURENCE SIMPSON, Warden and R.M. OTAGO GOLDFIELDS. APPLICATION FOR MAIN TAILRACE. (Issued in conformity with Section 14.) District of Clyde, Tinkers, December 6, 1875. To the Warden at Blacks, WE, the undersigned, being a majority in number of persons from whose claims water or tailings flow to a common outlet, at the junction of Spottis Creek with the Manuherikii River, hereby make application for a Main Tail-race, commencing at said junction, running through the Spottis Hundreds and branching at the upper end into two, one branch to the lower end of Tin- . ker’s Gully, and the other to the lower end of Farmer’s Gully, above Mr Glassford’s Station Buildings. And we declare the following particulars to be true in every respect:— The length of such Race is about eight (8) miles. Section 65, Sub-Section 1. TENTH SCHEDULE. District of Clyde, Tiger Hill, Blacks, 31st Jan, 1876. To the District Land Officer at Clyde. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that I intend to construct a Head Water Race for industrial and domestic purposes, commencing at a point on the Spottis Creek, on Section 16, Block 1., Tiger Hill Crown Lands, traversing Section 16 and 17 of said Block (Crown Lands), and terminating rn Section 18, same Block, owned by me. The length of such Head Race is 35 chains, or thereabouts; and its intended course is North and South. The mean depth and breadth of such Head Race is 1 foot by 18 inches, and it is capable of carrying one sluice head of water'. JAMES CLEARY, Tiger Hill, Blacks No. 1. Any person objecting to the issue of a license to the above-named applicant must lodge his objection, in writing, at my office, within fourteen clear days from the date hereof.
