The following are the items of local interest transacted . The consideration of where the auction of Pembroke Township should take place, and who should conduct the sale, was referred to the Government. The following application to purchase under agricultural lease was sanctioned : Henry Campbell, sections 1 and 2, block 111., Lower Wanaka. ' r Mr John Sillar’s application to purchase under agricultural lease section 20, block 111., Bonger District, was approved. Mr James Kenlay and others requested that the Board would prevent Mr S. Laverty fencing in the main road line running through his property in block VII., Rock and Pillar district. The following was minuted “ Letter to bo written' to Mr

Laverty, warning him that he is committing an illegal act if ho is obstructing a- public road, ttinl trusting if such be the case he will at onco remove the impediment.” Mr Hugh Ciossan’s application to purchase sections 58 and 59, block 1., Cairn Hill i-istrict, was reconsidered, and it was resolved that the matter bo adjusted in terms of the Warden’s recommendation. Messrs Strode and Fraser applied for agricultural lease over 640 acres, being preemptive right on Run No. 335b. Mr Strode here retired, and Mr Clark was voted to the chair. The application was approved in accordance with the regulations. The Board then adjourned.
