DISTRICT LAND COURT.
(Before W. L. Simpson, Esq.) C. T. Marie—Application for head water race in Dairy Gully, for irrigation and domestic purposes.—Referred to District Land Board to consider objections. D. Hanlon.—Application to purchase sections in Wai Keri Keri Valley, held under agricultural lease. To this application there were a number of objections on the ground that the land was auriferous: A. M’Leod, a miner, and one of the objectors, appeared, and contended that the land was payably auriferous. Several other objectors were present, but they were not called upon to give evidence. Mr W. L. Simpson said he would have to transmit the application and objections to the Waste Lands Board, but ho would sng- . gest that the case be remitted, to‘the District Land Board to take evidence on the payable nature of the ground.
