—o—Tha usual monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Committee Room on Tuesday night last. Present, B. Kay lor, Esq., in the Chair, and Messrs Cambridge, Hastie, Holt, Clark, J. E. Stevens, Treasurer, and Geo. Fache, Secretary. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. The inward and outward correspondence was read and received.
j The Visiting Committee reported, recommending that windows ho put in the rear of the Female and Fever Wards. No. 2 report, recommending payment of accounts for salaries and supplies, &c, for the past month, amounting to L 122 Gs lOd, was read and adopted. The Treasurer’s report oa follows, was read and adopted. Receipts for the month £22 C C Balance from last report 48 12 0 £7O 18 G Disbursements. Passed accounts unpaid £B3 9 3 Assets. Government Subsidy £153 6 7 Liabilities. Passed accounts unpaid £122 6 10 Overdraft at Bank 12 10 9 £134 17 7 The Surgeon’s report, ns follows, was read and adopted. No. of patients in Hospital at the beginning of month 9 Discharged during month 7 Admitted during month 8 Died I Remaining in Hospital April 30 9 The patients admitted during the month were from Cromwell, 3 ; Wanaka Station, 1 Alexandra, 1 ; Earnscleugh Station, 1 ; West bank of. Molyueux, I ; Tinker’ Gully, 1The Surgeon tendered his thanks to the Committee for the leave of absence granted him, also, to Dr Corse, Honorary Surgeon fir his attention and punctual attendance during his absence. The Sccretai-y was instructed to convey the thanks of the 'Committee of Management, to Dr Corse for his attention. Mr Hastie was elected a member of the Visiting Committee, vice Mr Cambridge, retiring. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded the meeting.
