—o— The usual monthly mooting of Committee of abovo Institution was held at tho Town Hall on Tuesday last. Present— Messrs. Jas. Hazlett (President), W. L. Simpson (Vice-President). Naylor, Cambridge, Back, Auckland, Holt, and J. E. Stevens (Treasurer), The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. The inward correspondence was read, and ■outward adopted. The Visiting Committee’s report recommended payment of accounts to tho amount •of L7B 15s sd, for the month ending 2Sth February last. Tne report was adopted. The Tn asitrer’s and House Surgeon’s re p )rts were read and approved. Messrs Cambridge and Clark were re ■elected members of tho Visiting Committee. Proposed by Mr Simpson, and seconded by Mr Auckland—“ That the Secretary be instructed to write to Mr Summon asking him to apply to Messrs A. Keihler, Miles, and M'Nally for amounts due by , them to Hospital, for board and residence, as paying patients.” Tenders were accepted as follows : Bread- llastie ; coffins—Atkins ; coals - Holt; rations, &e.—Naylor. It was resolved—“ That the Visiting Committee be authorised to make arrangements for the supply of meat, no tender having been sent in.” The Treasurer’s Report for February showed the folllowing : Receipts. Present, Jamas Samson, Chairman, and Messrs Finlay, Robertson, Terry, Watson, and Rivers. Resolved, —That the minutes of the last monthly meeting, and special and adjourn c.l meetings be confirmed. The outward and inward correspondence was read and approved. Resolved, —That Mr Reid’s resignation be accepted ; the Secretary to advise Mr Reid, —That the Committee will require ■the usual three mouths’ notice from the date of his resignation, but will allow him to leave at an earlier date, if possible. Resolved, = That the Secretary procure two 2 Gallon covered cans for School use. Resolve!,—That the Secretary be instiaotei to reply to Mr Reid’s letter, dated the 22ui ultimo, headed “ Correction, ” a il published in the Duasi.au Times of the 26th ultimo. A vote of thanks to tho Chair concluded the proceedings.
