SIR, — I have paid to the District Surveyor the sums required for the Survey of the following Gold Mining Leases Application, that upon approval of this Application, [ will execute a Lease upon the bases therein stated,'ifthe Governor or his Delegate shall think fit to grant the same. I have the honor to be, Sir, Your obedient Servant, WILLIAM BOHNING, Name and address in full of Applicants—William Bohning, Alexandra, William Forrest, Frenchman’s Point, and Henry Tohill, Alexandra. ■Style under which it is intended to conduct the business—Gorge Creek Race Company. Extent of land applied for —Four acres. Minimum number of men to be employed by the Lessees —l. For the first twelve months, two men. 2. Subsequently, when in full work, fbur men. Amount of capital proposed to be invested—Ll 000. Proposed mode of working the land —Hydraulic sluicing. Precise locality—Within the land known until now as Agricultural Lease, Section 1, Block 1., Cairn Hill District. Term for which lease is required— Four years. Time of commencing operations— As soon as the lease is granted. General remarks—A considerable •capital (LI200) has been invested so as to work the ground. The above Application, and any objection thereto will be heard before me, at Alexandra, on the 12th April, 1875. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above Application must, within fifty-four clear days from the date of such Application, enter his objection at my office. TENDERS FOR SUPPLIES, TENDERS areinvited for Supplying the Dunstan District Hospital with the undermentioned Doods, for six months from the 12th of March to the 12th of September next, viz;— Groceries, Wines and Spirits, Meat Bread, Coffins, Burials. Also Lignite. All articles must bo of the best ■quality, and delivered free of expense at the Hospital. No tender will bo received unless in accoruancewifchs))ecific,'ttions, which can be seen on application to the Secretary. The Committee do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.
