CLYDE TOWN COUNCIL.
—o— The usual fortnightly meeting of tl Council was hold in tho Council Chamber on Wednesday evening last, the 24th ins! Present—B. Naylor, Esq., Mayor; an Councillors Beck, CoX, Welsford, an Hueston. The minutes of previous meeting wer read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was rea and adopted. The inward correspondence, comprising letter from D. L. Simpson, Esq., Lu{.ineei stating that the raising of the piers of tl bridge would not affect the plans ; an f nm Mr F. J. Wilson, solicitor, accon panied by deed of contract for bridge, wei read and receive!.
The deed of contract having been read and slightly amended, it was resolved—- “ That the dee 1 as amended bo agree 1 to, and that the Mayor be empowered to execute same on behalf of the Council Agreement between the Library Committee and the Council was laid on the table, read, and agreed to. The meeting then closed with the customary vote to the chair.
