IN Pursuance of the 14th Section of the Licensing Aco, 1873, Amendment Act, 1874, I hereby give notice that the Quarterly LICENSING MEETING for amalgamated District of the Town of Clyde, District of Clyde and Blacks, will be held at the Court House, Clyde ; and for Alexandra and Roxburgh, at their respective Court Houses, on the Ist Tuesday of the month of March, at the hour of Noon, for the purposes of taking into consideration all Applications for Cer tificates for such Licenses as are authorised to be granted at the said meetings of the Licensing Courts, and the Transfer, or Renewal, or Removal ■of Licenses, of which due notice shall have been given to me, for the aforesaid Districts in which the premises in respect of which such Application is made are situated respectively'. Applicants for Publicans’ Licenses must, twenty-one days before such meeting, deliver their applications to the Clerk of such Court at which the applications will be heard. To the Warden at Alexandra. SIR, — I have paid to the District Surveyor the sums required for the Survey of the following Gold Mining Leases Application, that upon approval of this Application, 1 will execute a Lease upon the bases therein stated, if the Governor or his Delegate shall think fit to grant the same. I have the honor to be, Sir, Your obedient Servant, WILLIAM BOHNING, Name and address in full of Applicants—William Bohning, Alexandra, William Forrest, Frenchman’s Point, and Henry Tohill, Alexandra. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business—Gorge Creek Race Company. Extent of land applied for —Four ■acres. Minimum number of men to be employed by the Lessees—l. For the first twelve months, two men. 2. ■Subsequently, when in full work, four men. Amount of capital proposed to be Invested—Ll COO. Proposed mode of working the land —Hydraulic sluicing. Precise locality—Within the land known until now as Agricultural Lease, Section 1, Block 1,, Cairn Hill District. Term for which lease is required— Four years. Time of commencing operations— As soon us the lease is granted. General remarks—A considerable capital (L 1200) has been invested so ns to work the ground. The above Application, and any objection thereto will be beard before me, at Alexandra, on the 12th Apiil, 1875. Any person desiring to object to the issue of a Mining Lease upon the above Application must, within fifty-four clear days from the date of such Application, enter his objection nt my office.
