Tho Se-rotary read the following letter f rom Mr R. Kidd Sir, the money I collected, I handed over to the stewards, not caring which Hospital it went' to, and thought no more' about it -until I received your letter, and if.,any thought it wsa collected for the Dnnstan Hospital, they must have been mi itaken. For, if I remember riehtly, I don’t think I mentioned any particular hospital, but just asked for .subscriptions for the Hospital Race. After I collected it I banded it over to the Stewards as 1 have before stated, and I suppose it has been put to the credit of the .Cromwell Hospital. I am sorry there should havo been anything about it. as 1 think, now that there is a Hospital in course of erection here, that it is the one which is most entitled to the money gathered and run for nphero. Honing that this will bo amplo explanation —I remain, yours, Ac,, R. Kidd, per W. Howe. Mr Hszlett and Mr Holt said they distinctly understood that the money collected by Mr Kidd was for the Dnnstan Hospital.
