CLYDE SCHOOL.
—o— Committee Meeting was held on Tuesday afternoon last tho 15th instant. Present; The Rev. J. Jones, in the Chair, and Messrs Wilson, Cambridge, Haz lett, Grindley, and Denniston. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was explained that at an extraordinary meeting of the Committee held on the evening of Thursday tho 10th instant, and at which hut a few of the Committee were present, it was resolved on account of the prevalence cf measles amongst the scholars, that the School be closed on and after Monday the 14th instant, from which date the Christmas vacation open.
After discussion it was resolved—'l hat the action of those members of the Committee who authorised the closing of the School he confirmed by this meeting, and that the School be re-opened on January 11 1875.
Accounts, amounting to L 3 17a 0d were passed for payment. The Treasurer’s report, showing a liabili - ty of 1.35 5s 9d was read and received.
A conversation ensued relative to the best means to he adopted to clear cIT the Inability, resulting in the following resolution :
A snb-Comnuttce consisting of Messrs Cambridge, M‘Connochie, Grindley, and Stevens be appointed to arrange for holding an entertainment in aid of the School funds on Monday, December 28, 1874. Subscription Lists were placed in tl o hands of the Rev J. Junes, Hazlett, and Wilson. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded the meeting.
