ALEXANDRA.
0 (Communicated.) The Oxford Combination Troupo gave two successful performances in the Hall of the Athenaeum, on Monday and Tuesday evenings last, and consi lering the counter attraction elsewhere, they could not complain of the attendance. The entertainment consisted of some very clever feats of legerdemain performed by Miss Anderson ; an d songs, both sentimental and eomic, by Messrs Beaumont, Shipp, and Vertcn—the latter gentlemen appeare 1 also to great advantage in several Negro songs and dances. Madame Rnid sang two songs with much taste and expression—this lady has a fine clear voice, and knows hoav to use it. The entertainment on the avdole was a most attractive one, and judging from the aprd->nse was highly appreciated by tbo audience.
A laughable farce—in which Messrs Verten, Seymour, and Shipp appeared—brought the performance to a close. Mr Harry Seymour presided at the harmonium, and in the course of the evening played several selections of music in fine style. I understand it is the intention of +he Troupe to perform one night at Clyde on their return from Queenstown.
