His oldest stock in Tasmania are three years old, and show great breeding and size ; —said to be the best horses in the island of Tasmania. Young Wallace is a dark dapple bay, stands sixteen hands and a half high, is seven years old, and is by the imported horse Sir William Wallace, out of a purebred Clydesdale mare. Young Wallace has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock in the Tuapeka district are very promising. Terms : —£3 payable at the end of the season ; Groom’s Fee, 55., to be paid at the first service. All fees to be paid on the Ist February, 1875, or £1 extra will be charged after that date. A good paddock for mares coming from a distance is provided. HUGH CROSS AN, Proprietor. Goldsmiths’ Work. —The process of fine-art manufacture in this branch of trade is strikingly exemplified in a little work published by Mr. J. W. Benson, of No. 25, Old Bond-street, and of the City Steam Factory, 58 and 60 Ludgate-hill, Loudon. It is enriched and embellished with designs, by Italian, French and English artistes, of brooches, bracelets, ear-rings, and other articles, suitable for personal wear, or for wedding, birth-day, or other presents, with their prices. Mr. Benson, who holds the appointment to H.I’.H. the Prince of Wales, has also published a very interesting pamphlet on the Rise and Progress of Watchmaking. These pamphlets are sent, post free, for two starapis each, and they cannot he too strongly recommended to those .contemplating a purchase, especially to residents in the country or abroad, who are thus enabled to select auy article they may requirei and have forwarded in perfect safety.
