ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL.
—o— The ordinary meeting of the Council was held in the Council Chambers on October 23, 1874. Present, the Mayor, and Councillors Theyers and Finlay. The minutes of the last meeting were real and confirmed. The outward correspondence was read and approved. The following correspondence was read ail received From the Provincial Fearet iry in reply to memorial from the Council to have the Ferry-road improved. Fram the Chairman of the Central Board of Health, requesting the Council to report on the sanitary condition of the Municipality. Resolved that a report of the sanitary condition of the Town be cent in to the Central Board of Health as requested. Messrs J. C. Chappie and G. Ratcliffs were appointed valuators. Resolved that the Town Clerk write to Inspector Moore, asking him to a motion appointment of Constable Rendiville as Inspector of Nn : sauces for the Town of Alexandra ; salary, L 5 per annum. The following accounts were passed for payment, namely: George M‘Donald, 7s Cd; George Brown, L2 10s ; George Ratcliffe, L 7 10s. The usual vote of thanks to the chair c included the proceedings.
